So you want to start a renovation……
Value engineering allows combining STOCK & CUSTOM products for a project with stylish value!
More & more customers are looking to not just get the lowest price, but to get the BEST VALUE. How do you quantify VALUE versus COST? This can get tricky, but these simple qualifications help….
Is the product all wood, or does it have particle board or furniture board?
Is it fully assembled or RTA (Ready To Assemble)?
Does it have solid wood Dovetailed Drawers?
Does it have full extension under mount Soft-Close Glides?
Does it have Soft-Close Hinges?
If you answered YES to all of the above that’s a good first check!
This is where the VALUE gets subjective. What service level are you looking for?
Do you know what you want in detail & simply want to place an order? If so, all are equal.
Do you need help in selecting the door style & color?
Do you need help in understanding the modification & options?
Do you need help in selecting the cabinet configurations for each cabinet (A.K.A. Do you want a 3 drawer base here or 1 drawer with 2 doors?)
Do you need help in reconfiguring your space?
Do you need remodeling services?
If you answered YES to 3 or more of the questions above, you may need the assistance of not just a designer, but a kitchen & bath remodeling expert. If you have this need, see which cabinet retailers have someone with this experience. If they have someone like this, that would add VALUE to the product.
Finding a vendor with some longevity has always been a way of adding VALUE, however as the Great Recession of 2008 taught us, simply surviving shows value! This being said, the business still needs to have personnel with expertise, otherwise, there is no value there.
This next category is where we shine, By being the manufacturer & offering STOCK & CUSTOM Cabinetry, we have more selection, more flexibility, and more VALUE.
Not every Kitchen needs to be CUSTOM Cabinetry, but some do, such as INSET Cabinetry or DISTRESSED Cabinetry or custom sizes & colors. Having the option to do either or both can add style, function, & value to your kitchen or bath project.
